Differentiation is an effective way of meeting the diverse needs of gifted children in the classroom. In this PD, Melissa will present different models and strategies for effective differentiation and discuss the benefits of adopting these techniques into the classroom. Melissa will use classroom examples from both primary and secondary classrooms to demonstrate how these strategies can reach multiple ability levels in the classroom.

About the Presenter:

Melissa has worked in high schools as a curriculum advisor and as a Year 11 and 12 teacher where she focussed on differentiating the curriculum to teach different stages in one classroom. Most recently, she has taught mixed age and mixed ability enrichment classes to help disengaged students engage in the learning process.

Please note that this teachers only event will take place on Leda Primary School's staff development day and is aimed at 'like schools'. You will need to add in your school's name in, at the time of registration.

This event will also be recorded and available in our 'members only' section of our website very soon.
